Over the past six years, CFRT has experienced dramatic growth across every program: summer camps have grown by 45%, studio classes by 89%, and mainstage attendance increased 20%. As we look to the future of live arts to Fayetteville and Cumberland County, it is clear that With More Space, We Will Serve More People.
This multi-million dollar project will expand upon Act 1 of our project, where we renovated the auditorium. It will add height to the building, creating dedicated classroom space, increasing the capacity and function of scenic and costume shops, and making dramatic improvements to the customer experience, including the creation of a dedicated 60+ space parking lot!! A rooftop event space will create additional capacity for private events, as well as more opportunity for evenings of everything from acoustic music, to comedy and gallery shows.
This incredible new building is a gathering place for our community, where every visit will inspire you to live artfully and seek out creative experiences. This is a place for you, where your ideas and aspirations come to life.
This is 1209 Arts. This stage is yours!
In January 2021, we officially opened our newly renovated auditorium with our LAUNCH PARTY! Donors, patrons, and special guests were the first ones to hear about Act 2! We partnered with our architects at SFL+a to create this exciting announcement:

For years, visiting artists have commemorated their time onstage by signing the walls at the theatre. Now, as the curtain rises on Act 2, we invite you to join this theatrical tradition in the theatre by making an investment in this transformative campaign. Each Signature Donor will receive a dedicated, unique block in our permanent lobby donor wall. Once complete, the renovated building and this lobby installation will be a testament to the creativity, community, and inspiring individuals who have made their signature impact.
Pledges have the option to be paid over a 5-year period. Naming Rights are still available starting at $250,000. For more information, please contact: Ella Wrenn | ewrenn@cfrt.org | 910.323.4233 ext. 227.
